Ruth Lorenzo (born 10 November 1982) is a Spanish singer from Murcia, Spain. Lorenzo is notable for coming fifth in the fifth series of the British version of TV talent show The X Factor in 2008. This was the year which saw Alexandra Burke win. Lorenzo's performance of "Purple Rain" (Prince) in the show went on to reach over one million views via YouTube in less than one week before it was removed. In 2014, Lorenzo expressed interest in the Eurovision Song Contest and submitted a self penned track entitled "Dancing in the Rain.
